Most weekday mornings, Jessie Goldenberg can be found driving around the Flatiron district or Lower Manhattan searching for just the right parking space for her truck. And Black Friday will be no different, as competition for consumer dollars heats up for the holiday season. While there’s no precise formula to finding a premier spot, Ms. Goldenberg said she has learned valuable lessons, including the importance of a corner spot. Ms. Goldenberg owns a mobile boutique, called Nomad, that sells clothing and accessories with what she described as a “wanderlust, bohemian vibe” from a truck. Read the full article here.

Jessie Goldenberg always dreamed of opening a fashion boutique, but she couldn’t afford the rent in New York City. So she decided to take a different route and open a shop on wheels. “I was inspired to take a leap of faith when I heard about the fashion truck trend out west,” she says. Goldenberg found a truck on craigslist, and she and her family spent two months renovating it. She opened the Nomad fashion truck in April of 2013. Watch the full video.

Traveling businesses are on the move as truck entrepreneurs expand beyond food service to lines once only offered in storefronts.
